Apsirping Photographer

Most of my photographs are travel photos. I love landscapes and architechure but I hope to one day be a photojournalist since that is where my passion truly lies.

Most often when taking a photograph, I am trying to capture a genuine moment. I usually do not set up a picture but take it when the time feels right. I love to capture just the right expression on someone’s face, exploring and experimenting with my camera. Most of the photographs in my portfolio come from my travels; of the amazing friends I met along the way and of the beautiful landscapes. I love to tell stories with my photographs, hoping to create insight into others' lives and emotions but I truly appreciate landscapes as well. I tried to document my experiences with these pictures and the sense of wonder I felt.

While photographing I constantly think about the structure of the image. Symmetry and balance are very important to my work, as are hard linear lines, which help to exaggerate these themes. I enjoy playing with colors as well, creating a variety of photographs, which range from black and white or subdued to bright and exciting. Not only do I experiment while taking each photo but also in the editing process, spending a great deal of time on each picture. Every detail of a photo is important so I work with each picture until it reflects the image I have for it.

Under the general portfolio tab I have an overview of my work with my more specific projects in the tabs underneath.
